Blog journal #4
1) Blogging and particularly using Blogger has been a great experience for me. I never heard of "Blogger" prior to taking this class, I like how easy it is to set up and write my posts. It's pretty simple to navigate. There really isn't anything I dislike about it it's actually really neat because if it wasn't for this class I probably would not be blogging.
2) A great Web 2.0 tool I might use in teaching is Kahoot! Kahoot lets teachers create fun quizzes that students can answer on their devices. It makes learning exciting and encourages friendly competition among students. I like how it helps students stay engaged and can be used for reviews or assessments. I find that students grasp material better when there is technology involved
3) My first experience with AI were interesting. I used it to brainstorm ideas and create outlines for a paper I was having trouble with. It helped me come up with new suggestions, but sometimes the answers were not quite right. I've learned that I need to take the responses with a grain of salt. It is definitely not something I would use to take a test that's for sure.
4) I plan to use AI to help with writing prompts and quizzes in my classroom because sometimes I have trouble coming up with ideas. It can also assist students in brainstorming ideas for their projects. However, I will give them a lesson about using AI properly and also show them how if they try to use it for anything other than writing it could potentially give them incorrect answers which would result in a failing grade.
